Our fishing sinkers are made using high-quality high strength stainless-steel components and 98% Pure Lead.
As you might already know, our Long Tail Sputnik Fishing Sinkers are designed for long cast Pier and Surf Fishing.
We continue to use torsion-straightened stainless-steel wire for that extra holding strength, available with or without rollers.
These are a few things for you to consider when using Sputnik Fishing Sinkers when going fishing.
- When fishing with a Pyramid Weight, and heavy currents keep moving your baited rig (especially when fishing around crowded Piers and Beaches), subsequently causing you to require the use of a Pyramid Sinker heavier than 6–8 ounces.
- When fishing with a rod that isn't rated for the weight of a pyramid sinker that conditions require. Our Sputnik Sinkers have an outstanding weight-to-holding strength ratio thanks to their long tails and the wire used for their legs.
- Any time there are heavy currents, especially when using larger baits.

Their legs hold solid and when properly pulled to retrieve them, their arms disengage from their respective slots and swing outward.
